This image is straight out-of-the-camera, minus some cloning on the horizon to remove an ugly radio tower.
When I glanced up from my computer and saw this scene, I actually knocked a bunch of stuff over grabbing for my camera bag and then pushed the screen out of my upstairs window to capture this shot. After all, these colors and this scene usually last for just a couple minutes. When the sun is in just the right position, it highlights the colors and textures on the bottom of the clouds.
I chose aperture priority mode because I didn't want to fool around with getting the exposure right and risk missing the shot. I made sure I had the depth-of-field I needed and then grabbed a couple shots. Luckily, the camera-calculated exposure was dead on.
I used ISO-400 because the shots were hand-held; I needed at least 1/20 or 1/30 to get a blur-free shot.

Odd Egg Out
This photo was taken at the Beaver Street Farmers Market in northwest Jacksonville. It was at the only stand I saw in the entire place selling eggs.
I don't know why the eggs were different colors, but it really stood out. Also, the blue cartons helped create an earthy color palette for the shot.
The shot was taken with my new Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 lens.
